Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Did you know that before they were teachers, your teachers were kids?  It’s true! And as they grew up, they had a few favorite books.  Don’t believe us? Check out the display outside the library for some pics of your teachers before they were teachers and their favorite books!  Want another reason to check it out? It’s also a contest!  Stop by the library to pick up a form so you can guess who the picture belongs to.  Prizes will be awarded to the person with the highest number of correct guesses.  But get there quickly – winners will be chosen at the end of the day on Friday, September 15^th. If you are interested in travelling to Machu Pichu, Peru during Spring Break, please come Monday the 18^th of September for an informational meeting in LC 312. If you can’t make it, but are interested see Sra. Gilliland or Sra. Mas-Effler. (9/12, 9/14-15) – M. Mas-Effler

Fame, glory, chocolate: these can be yours when you win the Branching Out story contest! Write a story of 1-3 pages including the words “silver,” “hurricane,” “narc,” “Toronto,” and “ice pick.” Bring your story to Ms. Sasser in CS336 by 3:10 on Thursday, September 29. You may also email it to jsasser@ortn.edu. There will be two categories: freshman/sophomore and junior/senior. (9/15-9/18) – J. Sasser

Hallo! Und Guten Tag! Do you like German? Do you want to learn more and hang out with other students interested in German? Then come to German Club also known as “Deutsche Arbeitsgemeinschaft”. Our next meeting is the upcoming Monday, September 18th in room CS 304 at 3:15.
