Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Did you ever let your mind wander in class and start wondering what your teacher looked like as a kid?  Well wonder no more!  Check out the display outside the library for some pics of your teachers when they were kids and their favorite books!  Want another reason to check it out? It’s also a contest!  Stop by the library to pick up a form so you can guess who the picture belongs to.  Prizes will be awarded to the person with the highest number of correct guesses.  But get there quickly – winners will be chosen at the end of the day on Friday, September 15^th. The Driving Center is again offering two Driver Education classes over Fall Intersession.  First class starts Oct. 2nd and the second Oct 9th.  All classes meet from 8:00am till 3:30 pm Monday thru Thursday. Choose the class that fits your schedule. Testing can be administered here at The Driving Center.  A permit is not required to complete the 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training.  Please call (865) 482-6700 for more information or to enroll. If you are interested in travelling to Machu Pichu, Peru during Spring Break, please come Monday the 18^th of September for an informational meeting in LC 312. If you can’t make it, but are interested see Sra. Gilliland or Sra. Mas-Effler. (9/12, 9/14-15) – M. Mas-Effler

CLUB & ORGANIZATION INFO

Small Talk will have its first meeting of the school year next week. We will have two meetings next week to accommodate students. Please plan to meet after school until 3:45 pm  EITHER Monday, September 11 or Thursday, September 14. Meetings will be held in Dr. Colquitt’s room, CS 235. (9/5, 9/8, 9/11, 9/13-14) – R. Colquitt

The Interact Club will meet Monday, September 18 from 3:15-4:15 in the College and career office in the counseling office. (9/12, 9/14, 9/18) – A. King

Hallo! Und Guten Tag! Do you like German? Do you want to learn more and hang out with other students interested in German? Then come to German Club also known as “Deutsche Arbeitsgemeinschaft”. Our next meeting is the upcoming Monday, September 18th in room CS 304 at 3:15.
