The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine is currently accepting applications for the 2017 Veterinary Summer Experience Program. Application deadline is 11:59 PM on March 31st. It’s Women’s History Month and the library is honoring women who overcame obstacles to achieve amazing things.  In 1977 she was hired to work as an anchor at WJZ in Baltimore.  Less than a year later she was fired  after being told that she was too emotionally invested in her stories.  Nevertheless, she persisted.  6 years later she started at WLS in Chicago, anchoring their morning talk show.  That show soon went into national syndication and Oprah Winfrey went on to become a billionaire media mogul.  Come by the library to find out about more trailblazing women who refused to give up. And so it begins….the last term of the year!  National Honor Society continues to provide free tutoring services every Tuesday and Thursday in the Counseling Office from 3:15-3:50.  See Jonas Grayson and Jake Etheridge on Tuesday AND Thursday this week! (3/27-3/30) – L. Bailey
