It’s Women’s History Month and the library is honoring women who overcame obstacles to achieve amazing things. In 2004, a female writer pitched a television idea for a new medical drama with a strong female lead to the executives at ABC. They told her that the public would never go for it. Nevertheless, she persisted. That show, now in its 13th season is “Grey’s Anatomy” and its creator, Shonda Rhimes, went on to write many more shows including the entire Thursday night primetime line up on ABC. Come by the library to find out about more trailblazing women who refused to give up. (3/27) – C. Milloway
Are you a current Junior that is considering Presbyterian College? If so, see your counselor by March 31st to request a recommendation for their Presbyterian College Fellows Award. (3/1-3/31m M/F) – A. Morris
