Three Oak Ridge High School students have been named National Merit semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corp. The students are Logan Rumbaugh, Abigail Greenhalgh, and Lara Blokland.
Semifinalists score in the top one percent of the students in their state on a preliminary college exam. After meeting several other requirements, most semifinalists go on to be named finalists and then qualify for hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships.
