Congratulations to Dawid in Ms. Rife’s class for being able to recall ALL 118 elements on the 2018 Periodic Table! The class held a competition to see how many could recall 40 of them, and Dawid went above and beyond! Way to go, Dawid!!!
The students and staff and Glenwood were treated to an in-school concert compliments of the JMS Band on May 8, 2018. We heard wonderful scores from popular movies such as, The Incredibles, Harry Potter, E.T., Star Wars, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Kindergarden Round-Up was a wonderful success. Thank you to all who participated in the 2018 Round-Up event. Materials in Kinder bags were made possible by the Family Resource Center, Aid to Distressed Families of Appalachian Counties, and a grant from Altrusa of Oak Ridge.
The PTO has once again rewarded all of our students fundraising efforts during the school year with an inflatable MEGA party. It may have been a sock-soiling event, but it was worth it! Everyone had a wonderful day.

The students were in charge of setting up for their Becauase of Winn-Dixie celebration and everything was strictly “by the book,” pun intended! President and Mrs. Lincoln joined first grade on President’s day to share stories of his life. They enjoyed spending time in the classrooms, visiting students during their lunch time in the cafeteria, and waving to students as they passed in the halls.
