Glenwood just wrapped up its first ever rising 1st grader camp, Splash into Reading! These rising 1st graders spent two weeks reading, rhyming, and creating together. They read many traditional Mother Goose rhymes, learned the first 100 1st grade sight words, used their STEM skills to build amazing things, and of course…they READ a lot of fantastic books! In addition, they created props, costumes, and added their own theatrics to be able to hold two performances on their last day of camp. The Read like a Pro campers were treated to their show, as well as FULL house of family and friends. It was a wonderful experience for both campers and teachers.
